April 2021 more tulips opening

More of the tulips are opening. I think these frilly purple ones suffered from the recent snow flurries. They look a bit more twisted than I think they are meant to.

These yellow ones are opening quite nicely and seem none the worse for the weather wear.

The ones above are new this year and I don’t quite remember what I put in last fall. The ones below are definitely a peony tulip and I believe these turn different colors as they continue to bloom.

On Sunday afternoon I mowed the back; I had mowed the front the weekend before, but this is the first cutting of the back lawn. It looks decent right now. We’ll see how it looks later in the season.

Tiglet looks quite proud of himself here, marching across the lawn.
And since I couldn’t resist and bought a few plants at the greenhouse on Saturday, I have these lovelies on my table.

April 2021 Apricot blossoms, hyacinth, tulips, and a kitty

I have actual blooms. Things are blooming. It feels like we are well into spring here, and I am still nervous about another snow.

And the tulips and hyacinths are starting. These are the very early tulips, and they are shorter than the ones that come later.

These last little darlings are the ones left in the bowl by my neighbor. I think I’ve found a good spot for them. They are happy enough this year. Next year will be the real test.

And, not to disappoint, here is a happy kitty who drooled on the keyboard.
